Reported Speech Shifts: Present Simple → Past Simple; Present Continuous → Past Continuous; Present Perfect → Past Perfect; Past Simple → Past Perfect; will → would; can → could.
Time/Place shifts: now → then, today → that day, tomorrow → the next day, yesterday → the day before, here → there.
Reported questions: No inversion! He asked me, "Where do you live?" → He asked me where I lived (no "do/did").
